Cheap Summer Vacation Backyard Party

It's SUMMER!!! And you know what that means! Sleeping in, no school, relaxation and well nothing to do. You can't afford an extravagant vacation and you feel stuck. Looks like summer fun turned into summer bummer... Wait. You can have an at home vacation party!

On a hot summer day, all you wish you could do is go to an island and put your toes in the sand, but those plane tickets are way out of your price range. An alternative is to build your own water park! You can have water balloons, a slip in slide, even your own beach party. In your own back yard!

HOW TO DO IT:  Drive over to your local dollar store and pick up a few items. Fake coconut cups, a couple beach balls, water balloons (Regular ones work as well), and anything else you can think of. Sparklers are super fun to have if your party goes until night. Set it up, invite good company and you have your very own backyard beach party. Don't forget the slip in slide!

Welcome To the New and Improved IAmPreppy3!

I know that I changed the setup a little (Ok A LOT) but I felt that the way my blog was before wasn't sending out the right message. I felt like it needed something preppier. The previous layout was more hipster and this new layout is defiantly more preppy! I hope you guys enjoy!

My purse is from Tommy Hilfiger, and I absoultuly love it. Perfect bag for everyday use.

How To Stay Organized for School

This new semester has inspired me to stay organized for the rest of the year. I have realized that my organization skills are below satisfactory, so to become the A+ student that I know that I am, I reorganized everything! And I am going to share my tips with you.

1. Clean your entire room.
-Start in sections (desk, vanity, closet, etc.). Cleaning your room in sections actually makes things more productive and I find that time passes more quickly.

2. Organize your book bag.
     -Dump everything out.
-Throw away trash and useless items.
-Put pencils and pens in a pencil pouch. You can find these anywhere for cheap, and even makeup bags work too.
-Make sure binders and folders are not disorganized. You don't want to be sifting through your bag when trying to find your homework.

3. Use your planner.
     - I find that using my planner is the most productive way to keep organized.
     - Keep it color coded, it will make you want to look at it more when it is "pretty"
     - If you prefer to not use a planner, use a reminder app on your phone.

4. Clean out your locker.
     - If you have a locker, you should stay after school and reorganize it.
     - Throw away scrap paper.
     - Organize your books so you can see the side cover. Using this method will prevent you from being late to class and dropping your books on the floor.

5. Do your homework ate home.
     - Don't be that kid who is sitting in class doing their homework. Get it done at home and focus in class.

6. Pick out your outfit the night before

7. Make your lunch the night before (optional)

8. Pack your bookbag the night before

How to be healthier (without a workout)

This year I have noticed that I am becoming very unhealthy. I'm not overweight I'm just not eating like I am suppose to. I have always had a sweet tooth and that can cause some problems.
Recently I have been choosing to eat more vegetables during my meals rather than a lot of meat and/or potatoes. In the mornings, I eat some yogurt, a banana, and some OJ and bring a snack or 2 for the day such as a protein bar or an apple. For lunch I pack a sandwich with whole wheat bread and fruit. I am finding that by eating healthier I have more energy and a more fulfilling lifestyle.
